Phlebotomist II

Location: 211 Fountain Court, Suite 110, Lexington, KY 40509
Duration- 2 months
Shift- 9:30am-6pm

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to work at a high-volume Patient Service Center in Lexington, KY. The candidate will collect blood specimens from patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric age groups, register patients using the company system, maintain accurate specimen records, and work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection from pediatric through geriatric patients.
• Complete approximately 70–80 blood draws per day in a high-volume environment.
• Register patients accurately using the company system.
• Maintain accurate patient and specimen manifests/logs.
• Follow company procedures and compliance requirements.
• Provide patient-centered care throughout the collection process.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete required training on the company's systems during the first week.

Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of diagnostic phlebotomy experience.
• Experience drawing blood from all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong blood-drawing and specimen-handling skills.
• Ability to register patients and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a high-volume Patient Service Center.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diagnostic healthcare/phlebotomy background.
• Strong patient-centered care skills.
• Experience working in a high-volume PSC or similar clinical environment.
