Job Title: Business Analyst Location: NYC, NY 10285 (Hybrid; onsite days are Monday – Wednesday) Duration: 12 Months
Your Role: Drive the delivery of assigned regulatory initiatives by translating government, regulatory, business, customer, platform, and operational requirements into clear product and technical asks. This role will coordinate across business, technology, vendor, PMO, tax, compliance, and product stakeholders to finalize requirements, manage documentation and dependencies, track delivery progress, and ensure assigned product areas are ready for compliant implementation and transition to ongoing support.
Your Core Responsibilities:
Understand government, regulatory, business, and platform requirements for the assigned product or capability area
Translate requirements into clear product and technical asks for the relevant client’s product and technology teams, including open questions, assumptions, dependencies, and decision points
Own the complete system/process impact assessment,
Drive collaboration across business, technology, vendor, PMO, tax, compliance, and product stakeholders to finalize requirements and close open items
Resolve ownership gaps across fragmented teams and ensure every dependency has a named owner, due date, evidence, and escalation path.
Document decisions, requirements, process flows, dependencies, readiness status, and open items in Confluence or the agreed repository
Track delivery progress with the relevant technology teams, ensuring milestones, blockers, risks, and dependencies are visible and actively managed
Coordinate with product and technology teams to ensure build, testing, go-live, and readiness activities are aligned to regulatory timelines and business needs
Keep the central PMO informed on progress, decisions, risks, blockers, and required escalations for the assigned product area
Support scalable, reusable product decisions that contribute to a global e-Invoicing playbook rather than one-time country-specific implementations
Required qualifications
5+ years in product/program management, business systems analysis or IT delivery roles focused on Accounts Receivable, billing, invoicing or order to cash systems.
Direct hands-on experience with at least one major ERP or billing platform (e.g., Oracle ERP/EBS, Oracle Fusion, SAP, Workday Financials, or equivalent) in an AR/O2C capacity.
Experience delivering international regulatory reporting requirements, for example transaction level reporting, statutory or cross border reporting, VAT/GST digital reporting, or comparable multijurisdictional compliance mandates.
Practical experience with structured data mapping and regulatory reporting formats: XML, EDI or equivalent; field level mapping; mandatory vs. conditional data elements.
Experience working with or alongside regulatory reporting or tax technology platforms (e.g., Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, Vertex, Sovos, Avalara) or comparable B2B/EDI and reporting integration platforms.
Experience writing formal business/functional requirements, user stories, and UAT/SIT test scripts for regulatory or financial systems implementations.
Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred qualifications
Experience delivering regulatory reporting or compliance mandates across multiple countries or legal entities simultaneously.
Experience with Big 4 or advisory led regulatory implementations (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) as a client-side counterpart.
PMP, CBAP, Six Sigma or equivalent business analysis/delivery certification.
Experience with Confluence/Jira for requirements and delivery tracking, and Power BI or similar readiness reporting.
