Purpose: Support Quality Department personnel in efforts tied to supplier, tool, and raw material certification processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and product specifications. Work alongside the Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineer in implementing engineering changes and revisions. Job Competencies:
Perform inspector’s duties when necessary. Develop inspection instructions for parts and raw materials; document them in internal information systems.
Process and statistically analyze information to verify process capability and make recommendations based on the completed analysis.
Work alongside the Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineer in implementing inspection/measurement procedures, Control Plans, PFMEA, and conducting MSA studies.
Assist production areas with processes and quality issues, coordinating and performing process and equipment validations as necessary.
Identify and analyze non-conforming products and ensure compliance with the non-conforming material management process. Perform necessary activities to determine the scope of non-conformities and implement containment measures. Provide feedback to manufacturing areas regarding non-conformance situations and their impact on the customer.
Actively participate in/conduct root cause analysis of situations affecting product quality and customer non-conformance reports.
Communicate corrective and containment actions for non-conformance reports to customers effectively and with a sense of urgency.
Evaluate and implement corrective actions identified during audit processes that result in a CAPA (PAC) as necessary.
Participate in customer "Flash meetings" and provide concise information related to corrective actions.
Audit processes and report findings effectively.
Conduct non-conformance investigations alongside the Quality Engineer.
Periodically report progress on assigned tasks as required.
Ability to use measuring tools, techniques, and methodologies to inspect parts, measure process performance, conduct product validations, test validations, and measurement system analysis (MSA). Provide feedback based on results following a formal report format.
Support the Quality Engineer in the PPAP process.
Audit all documentation related to area of responsibility and ensure compliance with established procedures.
Responsible for following up on non-conformance reports in area of responsibility (DMRs) and evaluating the daily MRN report.
Evaluate the daily hold and scrap report for the assigned area, identify trends, work with the Quality Engineer to determine root cause, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Evaluate the effectiveness of go/no-go gages/fixtures, identify areas of opportunity, and work alongside the Quality Engineer to improve process control.
Provide technical support to other organization areas (tooling, molding, and others) as necessary.
Execute troubleshooting processes alongside manufacturing personnel to correct dimensional problems.
Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.
Other Responsibilities:
Notify the need for repairs or substantial changes in operations.
Alert to deficiencies or conditions that could affect product quality.
Maintain assigned areas clean and orderly.
Knowledge and experience in problem-solving tools, statistical analysis, use of tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, process capability analysis, etc., and the ability to select and apply these tools to make data-driven decisions to maintain high-quality levels in processes/products.
Responsible for equipment, cleanliness, organization, and materials in the work area.
Ability to use measuring tools, techniques, and methodologies to inspect parts, measure process performance, conduct product validations, test validations, and measurement system analysis (MSA). Provide feedback based on results following a formal report format.
Recognize/define critical characteristics or elements to guarantee product/process quality. Knowledge in effective analysis, evaluation, and mitigation of risks associated with potential failures.
Knowledge, practice, and application of international quality system standards (ISO/CSA/UL).
Knowledge of the Quality Management System and practices to maintain it. Basic knowledge of the Quality Management System (EQMS).
Roles and Special Responsibilities:

Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities as required.

Job Requirements:
Education: Associate degree in engineering
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing area
Excellent interpersonal relations.
