Title: Medical Representative
Location: Sparrows Point, MD 21219
Duration: 3 Months

Shift: Either FH or BH Days (Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday)
Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Training: Monday–Friday (hours TBD)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Representative to support workplace health and safety initiatives at an onsite facility. In this role, you will work closely with the site safety team and collaborate with various stakeholders to promote employee health, safety, and wellness. Responsibilities include providing first aid, supporting injury prevention efforts, maintaining medical records, and assisting with workplace safety programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid support and refer employees to outside medical providers when necessary.
• Promote injury prevention through education, awareness, and proactive engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of all care provided.
• Coordinate and support workers’ compensation and return-to-work programs for work-related injuries.
• Prepare daily activity logs and end-of-shift reports.
• Engage with employees and leadership to provide coaching on safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean medical area and ensure adequate inventory of medical supplies.
• Participate in training and certification activities related to First Aid, CPR, and AED programs.
• Maintain all required First Aid, CPR, and AED credentials.
• Work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Assist with random saliva drug-testing protocols.
• Support emergency response efforts and provide effective care during onsite emergencies.

Note: Candidates who do not currently hold an Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must obtain certification within three weeks of their start date.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) provider.
• Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • Current valid EMT or Paramedic certification from the Department of Health or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT); or
  • Six months of military medical experience within the last year as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician; or
  • Current active Athletic Trainer certification through the Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent state certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED courses through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience supporting industrial or occupational wellness programs.
• Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and body mechanics coaching.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers’ compensation programs.
• Experience with digital medical recordkeeping.
