In this role as Endpoint Automation Specialist, you'll help design, build, test, support, and improve the workstation platform and remote access technologies used by more than 18,000 associates across Cleint.
A typical day includes collaborating with technical leads and engineers on enterprise initiatives, developing and testing Windows workstation deployments using BigFix OSD and Intune (also upcoming Autopilot with cloud native endpoints), troubleshooting imaging and endpoint management issues, and supporting improvements to hardware standards and endpoint security. You'll work hands-on with technologies such as Microsoft Intune, BigFix OSD, Windows operating systems, Citrix virtual desktops, VPN and remote access solutions, Azure Boards, and ServiceNow.
Responsibilities include configuring and maintaining workstation build standards, validating hardware and software deployments, documenting technical solutions and processes, researching emerging technologies, and partnering with support teams to ensure a reliable end-user experience with our endpoints.
Success in this role requires strong collaboration, problem-solving, and a passion for modern endpoint management.
Team members regularly participate in enterprise projects involving Windows 11 modernization, Intune operationalization, endpoint automation, workstation hardware standardization, and remote access enhancements.
Deploy infrastructure software to clients. Monitor devices for deviation and address issues promptly and appropriately. Administer and maintain tools for software delivery and remote management.
40% Administer and deploy infrastructure software to clients including new builds, master files, upgrades, and patches. Record, verify, and coordinate customer requests to ensure appropriate distribution. Establish and follow all related processes such as email notifications and alerts.
20% Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure software in support of business processing requirements. Develop, compile, test, debug, document, and maintain custom scripts and utilities. Create comprehensive test plans based on configurations and other specifications. Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
15% Perform monitoring/maintenance activities of the workstation/server environment and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Find and troubleshoot problems before they become issues to the user and act as a higher-level support for help desk for certain problems. May consult with senior peers on certain projects.
10% Develop and maintain custom integration solutions. Establish standard configuration for software packages. Manage/maintain administrative tools for software delivery and remote management.
10% Ensure continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with the organization’s established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
5% Develop and maintain a comprehensive infrastructure software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. Maintain growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries, and software and hardware inventories.
Required Skills and Abilities: Able to communicate with system users to identify, explain, and resolve problems. Solid understanding of client/server relationships to identify problem sources concerning system operations. Strong organizational skills.
Required Software and Other Tools: Strong understanding of relevant operating system and server hardware and software. Microsoft Office.
Preferred Software and Other Tools: Proficiency with Citrix
Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree
