WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a prestigious outpatient surgical and oncology-focused healthcare organization in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced post-anesthesia care environment, providing exceptional patient care following a variety of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical and procedural interventions.
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients throughout the recovery process.
• Perform ongoing evaluations of vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and overall patient condition.
• Initiate and maintain IV access and administer medications as ordered.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring to assess and respond to changes in patient status.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-procedure recovery, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Strong IV start and vascular access skills.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring.
• Prior PACU, critical care, surgical services, or ambulatory surgery experience preferred.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and clinical judgment skills.
