Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Fixed Assets Analyst to support worldwide accounting operations and maintain accurate fixed asset records across in-country and U.S. entities. This role will be responsible for maintaining fixed asset subledgers, supporting monthly close activities, coordinating physical inventories, preparing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with established fixed asset policies and procedures.

The position requires strong attention to detail, process orientation, and the ability to work independently while supporting regional and international fixed asset activities.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and support worldwide accounting operations
• Maintain in-country and U.S. Fixed Asset subledgers to accurately reflect monthly activity
• Ensure compliance with established guidelines related to the acquisition, maintenance, retention, transfer, and disposition of fixed assets
• Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records within the fixed asset management system
• Perform periodic system activities, including depreciation calculations and future depreciation projections
• Coordinate and perform scheduled and periodic physical inventories, including locating and counting assets, loading inventory results, and reconciling exceptions
• Prepare and review monthly fixed asset reconciliations and support consolidated company-wide reconciliation reporting
• Support fixed asset-related audit and tax inquiries
• Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries related to depreciation, asset transfers, disposals, and other fixed asset activity
• Support current and future Fixed Asset systems and software
• Escalate questions, issues, and exceptions as appropriate
• Maintain a strong focus on organization, productivity, accuracy, and problem solving
• Work effectively in a process- and team-oriented environment with limited supervision
• Provide support for critical tasks that may occasionally require night or weekend availability
• Travel as required to support fixed asset activities and physical inventories

Critical Skills:

• Fixed Assets Accounting - understanding of the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations
• Physical Inventory Management - ability to coordinate asset counts, document results, identify exceptions, and reconcile discrepancies
• Month-End Close - experience supporting monthly close activities and fixed asset-related journal entries
• Reconciliation - ability to prepare and review account reconciliations and identify discrepancies
• JD Edwards - proven knowledge and experience using JD Edwards
• Analytical Thinking - ability to analyze accounting information, investigate exceptions, and resolve issues
• Process Orientation - ability to follow established policies, procedures, and accounting controls
• Attention to Detail - ability to maintain accurate financial and asset records
• Teamwork - ability to collaborate effectively while also working independently
• Communication - ability to communicate clearly with local and international teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of progressive experience in Fixed Assets, Accounting, Finance, or a related occupation preferred
• Experience working with international or regional accounting operations preferred
• Experience within the retail industry in Latin America and/or the Caribbean is preferred
• Proven knowledge and experience using JD Edwards
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently without immediate supervision
• Availability to support occasional night or weekend critical tasks
• Valid passport and availability to travel
• Travel up to 20%
