Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fixed Assets Supervisor to oversee fixed asset activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining fixed asset records, supporting month-end close activities, coordinating physical inventories, and ensuring compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.

The position combines transactional fixed asset responsibilities with regional exposure and travel throughout Latin America to support physical asset counts and related fixed asset activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain in-country and U.S. fixed asset subledgers, ensuring all monthly activity is accurately recorded
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date fixed asset records and perpetual inventories within the fixed asset management system
• Manage fixed asset activities including additions, transfers, disposals, and asset retirements
• Ensure compliance with established guidelines related to the acquisition, maintenance, transfer, retention, and disposal of fixed assets
• Perform periodic fixed asset activities, including depreciation calculations and projections
• Coordinate and conduct physical fixed asset inventories, including locating and counting assets, documenting results, and reconciling discrepancies
• Prepare and review monthly fixed asset reconciliations and support consolidated reconciliation reporting
• Support the monthly financial close, including journal entries related to depreciation, transfers, disposals, and other fixed asset activity
• Provide support for fixed asset-related audits and tax inquiries
• Work closely with Accounting and other internal teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Support the consistent application of fixed asset policies and procedures across the organization
• Provide guidance and supervision to Fixed Assets Analysts
• Travel throughout LATAM as needed to support physical inventories and other fixed asset activities

Critical Skills:

• Fixed Assets Accounting - strong understanding of the complete fixed asset lifecycle, including additions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliation
• Physical Inventory Management - ability to coordinate and execute physical asset counts, identify discrepancies, and reconcile records
• Financial Close - experience supporting month-end close activities, journal entries, depreciation, and fixed asset reconciliations
• Supervisory Experience - ability to lead, guide, and support team members while maintaining accountability for deliverables
• Analytical Thinking - ability to identify discrepancies, analyze financial information, and resolve fixed asset-related issues
• Attention to Detail - ability to maintain accurate records and ensure transactions are properly reflected in fixed asset systems
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - ability to work effectively with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other internal stakeholders
• Travel Flexibility - ability and willingness to travel throughout Latin America to support physical inventories and regional activities
• Communication - ability to communicate effectively with teams across multiple countries, including in English when required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in Fixed Assets or a related accounting/finance role.
• Experience in Fixed Assets, preferably within a multinational or regional organization
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Strong knowledge of depreciation, asset additions, transfers, disposals, reconciliations, and physical inventories
• Experience supporting month-end close and preparing journal entries
• Experience with ERP or fixed asset management systems; JD Edwards experience preferred
• B2+ English proficiency / conversational English
• Valid passport
• Availability to travel throughout LATAM
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
