Role: ES&H Technical Analyst Location: Thacker Pass, NV Duration: 12 Months Schedule: 3 Weeks on, 1 Week Off
Overview: Join the Mining & Metals team as a Technical Analyst to support the Thacker Pass project, the largest known lithium resource in the United States. This role involves collecting, studying, and analyzing project and ES&H data to enhance incident prevention and support various ES&H functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of the client's ES&H program and Management System
Aid compliance with client's ES&H standards, regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments
Develop, implement, and maintain programs, systems, and procedures for employee safety and environmental protection
Maintain ES&H databases, including incident events, audit findings, and corrective actions
Perform statistical analysis of ES&H data to identify performance trends and contributing factors
Support unique software systems and electronic innovations used by ES&H personnel
Lead teams in conducting risk assessments, studies, and mitigation planning
Prepare communications, reports, and documents for program execution and records retention
Assist with incident notifications, lead investigations, and prepare incident investigation reports
Recommend and implement improvements in processes and procedures to minimize hazard potential
Participate in and may lead employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs
Research complex issues and provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice
Support ES&H field and office personnel across all ES&H disciplines
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Technical knowledge of computer-based training development software
Proficiency in Adobe Suite, SharePoint, FrontPage programming, and Flash for training products
Good knowledge of computer artwork and web design packages
Understanding of ES&H and automation methods, and process improvement applications
Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards relevant to ES&H learning and development
Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication
General knowledge of writing and producing training, marketing, and communication tools
Familiarity with client's environmental, safety, and health processes and procedures
