Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Full Stack Engineer (Java FSE) to support a critical Optum Health delivery program. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java-based enterprise application development, cloud-native architectures, microservices, and modern DevSecOps practices.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support large-scale enterprise applications across the full SDLC. Architect and build scalable microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL services, and event-driven solutions. Develop cloud-native applications on Azure and/or AWS using Kubernetes and Docker. Integrate Generative AI and LLM technologies into enterprise solutions. Lead technical design reviews, mentor engineering teams, and troubleshoot complex production issues. Collaborate with business, product, security, and engineering stakeholders in Agile environments.
Required Skills: 12+ years of enterprise software engineering experience. Expert knowledge of Java 17/21, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring WebFlux, Spring Security, Hibernate, and JPA. Strong experience with Microservices, REST APIs, GraphQL, Kafka, and OpenAPI. Hands-on expertise with Azure and/or AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, Cassandra/NoSQL, and database performance tuning. Knowledge of DevSecOps tools, vulnerability scanning, and secure software development practices. Experience with Generative AI technologies such as Azure OpenAI, GPT, Claude, Spring AI, or similar platforms.
