Title: Warehouse Operator 
Duration: 12 Months

Shift: Please ensure candidates are available for ALL shifts 
Anticipated shift to work is night, but should be open to the other shifts for availability: 
Night: 10:45 PM – 6:55 AM (Sunday to Friday) 
Evening: 2:45 PM – 10:55 PM (Monday to Friday) 
Day: 6:45 AM – 2:55 PM (Monday to Friday) 

JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Operator must ensure compliance with quality requirements by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), corporate policies, and applicable compliance standards during operations. The position is responsible for implementing and maintaining GMP regulations, corporate policies, and conformance standards throughout warehouse operations, where applicable.
In accordance with established policies, directives, procedures, manufacturing and packaging sheets, Good Manufacturing Practices, health, safety and environmental prevention measures, and the Montreal site's business procedures/processes, the Warehouse Operator is responsible for receiving, supplying, handling, and distributing raw materials, components, bulk and finished products.
The Warehouse Operator's responsibilities include cleaning, receiving, sampling, component handling, bulk and raw material handling, and product distribution activities.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
All tasks are performed in accordance with established policies, directives, procedures, manufacturing and packaging sheets, Good Manufacturing Practices, health, safety and environmental protection measures, and Montreal site business procedures/processes.
Level 1
The Level 1 Operator will be called upon to perform a grouping of tasks from the following:

1. Drive trolleys, including Walkie, Gerber, Counterbalanced and Dock Stocker equipment.
2. Perform pallet reversal.
3. Wash pallets.
4. Care for and maintain work equipment and tools.
5. Unpack and clean equipment.
6. Handle goods.
7. Label materials.
8. Pack materials and pallets.
9. Verify and identify equipment.
10. Perform physical inventory counts.
11. Deliver goods and move pallets.
12. Load and unload trucks.
13. Check and inspect trucks.
14. Move waste and recycling materials.
15. Print weight sheets.
16. Complete manual documentation.
17. Execute basic computer transactions, including VL31N.
18. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
19. Train colleagues.
20. Participate in team committees when required, such as HSE, operational excellence, CCM, special projects and job evaluation.
21. Perform training follow-up tasks when required, including updating training curriculums, associating modules and updating procedures.

 
Level 2
The Level 2 Operator may be called upon to perform Level 1 tasks on occasion.
The Level 2 Operator will be called upon to perform a grouping of tasks from the following:

1. Drive turret trolleys for regular or push-back pallet racking.
2. Assemble orders for Export, Packaging, Bulk, Raw Materials, MRPO and Subcontractor requirements.
3. Confirm receipt of goods in the system using MIGO.
4. Confirm order shipments in the system.
5. Manage inventory.
6. Manage batch statuses.
7. Order non-inventoried equipment.
8. Manage pharmaceutical waste and related transactions.
9. Manage merchandise returns.
10. Manage external warehouses.
11. Manage gas and chemicals.
12. Print labels, including shelf-pack labels.
13. Reconcile cycle counts.
14. Execute more complex computer transactions, including data entry.
15. Perform material sampling.
16. Verify that instruments and equipment are suitable for their intended use and are within the applicable calibration period.
17. Verify analysis acceptance criteria and compare results with established limits.
18. Stop all activity and notify the manager in the event of a problem.
19. Verify and document the quality of raw materials and/or components during sampling.
20. Perform simple analyses during sampling according to planning tools and business needs.
21. Train colleagues.
22. Participate in team committees when required, including HSE, operational excellence, CCM, special projects and job evaluation.
23. Perform training follow-up tasks when required, including updating training curriculums, associating modules and updating procedures.

 
Level 3
The Level 3 Operator may be called upon to perform Level 1 and Level 2 tasks on occasion.
The Level 3 Operator will be called upon to perform a grouping of tasks from the following:

1. Coordinate the receipt and shipment of subcontractors' orders, including priority management and follow-up execution.
2. Coordinate colleagues' holidays and vacation schedules.
3. Perform task observations.
4. Verify and approve orders.
5. Control inventory, including packaging, shipping and supplies.
6. Launch reports and working papers.
7. Perform inventory adjustments and resolve discrepancies through investigations.
8. Run traces for destruction memos.
9. Coordinate cyclical inventories.
10. Manage internal and external orders and subcontractor orders.
11. Manage and coordinate the forklift fleet with external suppliers and coordinate operator training.
12. Implement and follow up on forklift inspections for the entire plant.
13. Participate in performance evaluations.
14. Mobilize the task force.
15. Act as a facilitator and resource person for the team.
16. Support and assist the team in meeting objectives.
17. Coordinate the organization of work and resources.
18. Anticipate problems and act as a resource for problem solving.
19. Work closely with supervisors.
20. Communicate expectations to the team.
21. Coach team members.
22. Ensure information is communicated to subsequent shifts.
23. Solicit ideas from colleagues.
24. Train colleagues.
25. Participate in team committees when required, including HSE, operational excellence, CCM, special projects and job evaluation.
26. Perform training follow-up tasks when required, including updating training curriculums, associating modules and updating procedures.

Business needs
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Successful completion of theoretical and practical forklift operator training
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Knowledge of GMP (an asset)
- 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related field (an asset)
- Mechanical skills and computer skills
