Title: Senior Automation Engineer Location: Onsite/Hybrid – 3 times a week onsite to Raritan, NJ 08869 Duration: 15 months
Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with deep expertise in PowerShell and cloud-native technologies to design and deliver scalable, enterprise automation solutions. This role focuses on building event-driven, API-integrated systems using serverless cloud services (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) that enhance platform interoperability and reduce operational overhead.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell-based automation solutions for enterprise orchestration and system integration, including scripting (PowerShell/Python) to optimize endpoint operations within ServiceNow. • Design and implement serverless, event-driven solutions using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions to enable scalable automation and real-time processing across enterprise platforms. • Collaborate with development teams to integrate PowerShell solutions with ServiceNow, using Git for version control and collaboration. • Write and optimize SQL queries for effective data management and reporting within ServiceNow and related databases. • Build and manage REST API-driven integrations to enable seamless interoperability between platforms • Document processes, scripts, and workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven expertise as a PowerShell Developer • Proficient in using Git for source code management and version control. • Experience with serverless architecture and function-based development, such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions. • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases. • Experience with Rest API integrations • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Skills: • Experience with ServiceNow development, including customization, scripting, and integration within the platform. • Experience with endpoint management platforms such as Nexthink, SCCM or Intune. • Knowledge of additional scripting or programming languages is a plus.
