Summary: The main function of a communications specialist is to coordinates the internal communications that occurs within an organization. A typical communications specialist is responsible for ensuring the communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization's strategic vision.
Job Responsibilities: Keeps workers engaged in company initiatives. Publishes videos and photography on company website and blogs. Ensures organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education. Supports ideas with research and experience. Recommends what information should be presented to employees, and times the release of information to coordinate with company events or initiatives. Measures and presents results of communication efforts. Works with appropriate departments and management to publish timely company information, such as memos and company directives. Confer with legal staff to resolve problems, such as copyright infringement. Respond to requests for information from the media or designate an appropriate spokesperson or information source. Study the objectives, promotional policies, or needs of organizations to develop communications strategies that will promote ideas, products, or services.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training required.
Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Strong mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Expert knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. Expert ability to develop marketing and pricing strategy. Expert knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
Required Skills: 10+ Years of Experience Marketing & Portfolio Strategy Marketing Communications Project Management Agency & Campaign Management Strong PowerPoint skills for reporting Consumer goods experience would be amazing!
Preferred Skills: Global Organization experience Cross Market Experience Integration Experience Working across multiple time zones for scheduling meetings Global High-tech or industrial industry exposure a plus!
Interview Process: Initial Phone/Teams Interview – 45 minutes Follow-up interview with top finalists Teams Panel (3 people) – 45 minutes
