About: The FIU is responsible for conducting AML investigations and enhanced due diligence reviews on high-risk customers. The team assesses customer risk by analyzing onboarding documentation, adverse media, PEP exposure, anticipated account activity, and related parties to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company's risk appetite
Job Description: The AML Analyst will be responsible for the timely execution of Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for potentially high-risk U.S. customers. The successful candidate will assess onboarding documentation, conduct external research, review adverse media, evaluate PEP exposure and anticipated account activity, and determine customer risk ratings and alignment with Company's risk appetite.
Key responsibilities include: • Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence reviews for high-risk customers, with a strong focus on Alternative Investment Funds. • Analyze customer onboarding documentation, ownership structures, anticipated activity, and associated risk factors. • Perform adverse media and reputational risk research. • Collaborate with AML, Legal, Risk Management, Sanctions, and business stakeholders to determine appropriate risk outcomes. • Identify customers that fall outside of company's risk appetite and escalate as required. • Maintain and enhance AML procedures, job aids, and documentation. • Support regulatory compliance initiatives and process improvement activities. • Manage multiple reviews simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Must Have Requirement:
3-5 years of AML/BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) experience within a banking or financial services environment.
Experience conducting onboarding reviews for high-risk customers.
Knowledge of AML regulations, governance, and compliance requirements.
Strong investigative, analytical, and research skills.
Prior experience working with U.S. AML/BSA regulations
Experience with sanctions, reputational risk, or KYC programs

Line of Business:Financial Investigations Unit (FIU) / U.S. Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Support business-as-usual Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) activities for high-risk clients within the U.S. AML program. Responsibilities include performing onboarding reviews, assessing customer risk, researching adverse media, and conducting EDD reviews for alternative investment clients such as hedge funds and private equity firms.
