Senior Civil Engineer Alexandria LA Direct Hire (Onsite)
Overview Client is an engineering firm, located Alexandria, LA, specializing in civil/structural engineering for high voltage structures in substations and switchyards.
Job Summary:
The Civil Engineer with Experience will work along side Principal Engineers in design of substation sites along with other miscellaneous projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
Must have experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Mathcad
Experience preparing and reviewing storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) a plus
Experience with Civil Grading & Drainage, Hydraulics & Hydrology including calculations
Excellent skills in the following areas: documentation, organization, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking with minimal supervision
Delegate tasks to designers on an as needed basis.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with CAD software.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
Experience: Civil/Structural Engineering: 3 years (Preferred)
