Job Title: Power Solutions Project Manager
Duration: 4 Months (Possible extension)
Location: Seattle, WA 

Position Summary & Core Role
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate 12 simultaneous power solution projects across client’s fulfillment network. The role oversees all phases—from feasibility through commissioning and handover—covering utility upgrades, natural gas/diesel generator installations (1–5MW scale), switchgear deployments, and environmental air permitting across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities

1. Program Coordination & Oversight:
   • Manage 12 concurrent power solution projects nationwide.
   • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, track critical path blockers, and provide weekly/monthly reports (including flash updates) to leadership.
   • Direct contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
2. Client Specifications & Quality Assurance:
   • Ensure electrical equipment, switchgear, and generators adhere strictly to client’s technical standards.
   • Perform quality reviews at each project phase, review shop drawings/submittals, and manage deviation waivers.
3. Switchgear (SWGR) Procurement & Management:
   • Own end-to-end switchgear procurement, tracking lead times (10–26 weeks) across sites.
   • Work with Eaton and other manufacturers on custom configurations, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and delivery logistics.
4. Air Permits – Submission & Tracking:
   • Manage air permit applications for stationary generator installations across various jurisdictions.
   • Work with environmental consultants (Trinity) and generator vendors (Enchanted Rock) to obtain emission data (HAP, formaldehyde, startup profiles).
   • Navigate complex regulatory environments including CEQA approvals and non-attainment areas.
5. Electrical & Power Systems Execution:
   • Oversee temporary and permanent generator systems (1–5MW natural gas and diesel).
   • Coordinate with utilities on transformer upgrades, service upgrades, natural gas pipelines, and meter installations.
   • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes.
6. Site Launches:
   • Travel to sites during key installation, commissioning, and energization phases to oversee equipment startup and acceptance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Energy Systems, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in power infrastructure, electrical systems, or utility-scale energy projects.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Medium/low voltage switchgear (480V–15kV).
  • Transformer sizing, installation, and commissioning.
  • Generator systems (500kW–5MW).
  • Utility interconnection, service upgrades, power metering, and protection systems.
• Project Management Skills: Proven experience managing 10+ concurrent projects, tracking switchgear procurement, handling regulatory air permitting, and leading vendors/contractors.
• Tools & Certifications:
  • Proficiency in tools like Asana, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
  • PMP, PE, or OSHA 30 preferred.
