We are hiring a CAD/BIM Project Manager to serve as the central point of contact for multiple customers and to lead a program of projects across multiple disciplines and industries. The ideal candidate is a manager first and designer second: fluent across the CAD/BIM ecosystem, comfortable directing designers on multiple platforms, and confident owning client relationships from kickoff through final delivery. Strong communication, workflow management, and problem-solving skills keep projects on schedule and clients informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Manage a portfolio of concurrent CAD/BIM projects across disciplines and industries from kickoff through final delivery, meeting schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Client Management: Act as the central point of contact for multiple clients. Run status updates, submissions, and review cycles. Represent ARY in client meetings.
- Team Coordination: Direct internal teams and international production teams across multiple time zones and disciplines. Review daily progress and keep work moving.
- Vendor Management: Serve as the primary interface with international partners and vendors. Confirm deliverables meet technical and contractual requirements.
- Technical Oversight: Review and validate technical work in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and similar platforms, including work derived from 3D laser scans and point cloud data. Provide hands-on support when necessary.
- Quality Control: Perform final review of drawing sets, models, and deliverable packages before release to the client.
- Workflow Management: Develop, document, and maintain workflows and project tracking systems for clarity and accountability.
- Problem Solving: Identify issues early and clear bottlenecks to keep projects moving.
- Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and action plans.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve project management methods for greater efficiency and quality.
Must-Have Requirements
- Strong people and project management experience
- Client-facing experience and confident public communication skills
- Ability to take ownership and operate as a leader
- Technical writing and documentation skills
- Experience managing engineering, drafting, CAD, or BIM projects
- Working proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks
- Ability to direct designers across multiple platforms and disciplines
- General industrial knowledge and an understanding of plant/customer environments
- Ability to work effectively with industrial facility managers and other blue-collar stakeholders
- Willingness to live in the Tri-Cities area and work onsite full-time
- Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat proficiency
- AAS in Engineering Technology/CAD or equivalent experience
- Years of experience: 4+ years of technical project management experience
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with 3D laser scanning and point-cloud workflows
- Field experience within industrial facilities
- Experience in food processing, data centers, energy, or other heavy industries
- Experience managing offshore or international production teams
- Experience managing vendors and reviewing contractual deliverables
