Job Summary
We are seeking a Finance Advisor to support complex accounting, financial reporting, accounting research, and month-end close activities. This role will be responsible for preparing financial reporting schedules, supporting external financial filings, ensuring SOX compliance, performing account reconciliations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation, experience with financial reporting, technical accounting, and a strong understanding of US GAAP.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex accounting analysis and accounting research.
- Prepare reporting schedules supporting quarterly and annual external financial filings and management reporting.
- Prepare month-end closing journal entries and monthly account reconciliations.
- Research, analyze, and resolve complex accounting issues while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Review contracts prior to execution and assess accounting implications.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
- Prepare accounting memos and communicate accounting impacts to management.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Support ad hoc financial requests and special projects.
- Maintain and update finance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and financial reporting requirements.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding SOX processes and controls.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- CPA designation.
- 4+ years of directly related accounting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across departments.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP, and Hyperion SmartView.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Experience in public accounting.
- Experience in technical accounting or accounting research.
- Experience in external financial reporting.
