Commissioning Professional Career Level
Location: Arlington, VA
Duration: 12 Months
Responsibilities:
- As a Commissioning Specialist on our team, you will participate in both onsite and office activities to support Commissioning projects.
- You will have the opportunity to lead and perform all commissioning related activities to include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance), equipment and systems start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets established design requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Projects that you will engage with will include commissioning for new construction and renovations, existing building commissioning, as well as asset management projects.
- You will have the responsibility of working directly with Jacobs clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client with a focus on operational performance and efficiency.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in commissioning activities such as: Utility infrastructure, mechanical and plumbing systems, building automation systems/controls, building/facility systems/components, and facility O&M. Mission Critical Experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, and TAB process mechanical testing and code requirements
• US Citizenship
• Ability to travel up to 50% ; travel may include multi-week field assignments and periodic long-term assignments may be required
• Industry-recognized commissioning certification is a plus
