About This Role
  • Learning Experience Designers on the Talent Management & Learning team design, develop and continuously improve learning experiences that build capability  — part of our effort to be as renowned for our people experience as for our customer experience.
  • The Talent Design team sits within Talent Management & Learning and serves as the design and production engine for enterprise-wide learning, partnering with program managers, HRBPs and business leaders on work that spans facilitated programs, video, print and digital.
  • The right candidate brings a strong foundation in instructional design, hands-on digital development skills, fluent and responsible use of AI tools, and self-direction in a remote, collaborative environment.

A Day in the Life of
  • Design and develop blended learning solutions — eLearning, VILT, microlearning, video, in-person and performance support — grounded in adult learning theory and the various modalities that people learn.
  • Conduct learner and needs analysis to define measurable performance outcomes, then select the right modality (build, buy or curate) for each.
  • Produce learning objectives, design documents, storyboards, scripts and facilitator and participant materials; iterate based on pilots, SME review and learner feedback.
  • Build courses and assets in industry-standard design and authoring tools; publish and troubleshoot in Workday Learning to SCORM and accessibility standards.
  • Use AI across the workflow — drafting, scenario generation, media support, voiceover, prototyping — with human-in-the-loop judgment and full adherence to data, IP and privacy guidelines.
  • Build facilitator-ready materials (guides, decks, activities); facilitate live or virtual sessions when needed and coach SMEs and business facilitators on pacing, engagement and delivery.
  • Define and execute Kirkpatrick Level 1–2 measures for assigned programs, contribute to more advanced evaluation, and act on learner and performance data to inform iterations.
  • Partner with SMEs, program managers and Learning and Leadership partners; manage scope, timelines and deliverables across concurrent assignments and adapt as priorities shift.
  • Contribute templates, standards and emerging research back to the team to raise the bar for everyone's work.
Skills:
  • 4+ years in learning experience design, instructional design or equivalent L&D work, with a portfolio of blended solutions (eLearning, ILT/VILT, video, performance support).
  • Working knowledge of adult learning theory and at least one design framework (ADDIE, SAM, Action Mapping or comparable), plus SCORM/xAPI and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Advanced proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Rise and experience publishing to an LMS/LXP.
  • Proficient using general-purpose AI tools (Claude, Copilot or similar) with sound judgment on when to use AI and how to verify outputs, and awareness of responsible-use issues (privacy, IP, bias, hallucination).
  • Self-direction in a remote environment and strong written, visual and verbal communication for a retail audience.
Nice to Have
  • Experience designing for technology, ecommerce or retail audiences, ideally on enterprise-scale programs in a corporate, matrixed L&D function.
  • Familiarity with AI-native learning tools (Sana Learn, Synthesia, Articulate AI) or prompt-driven authoring workflows.
  • Experience integrating Adobe Creative Suite and Figma into design workflow
  • Experience with advance reporting and learning analytics; Kirkpatrick evaluation mode
  • Education:
  • Nice to Have: Master's degree in instructional design, learning sciences or a related field.
Interview Process: 1-2 Interviews max
