Role: Senior IT Project Manager
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 Days Onsite per Week)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to support technology initiatives within a commercial banking technology environment. This role will be responsible for leading the delivery of multiple technology projects on a critical online business banking platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

The successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery in a fast-paced environment involving multiple implementations, sprint-based delivery, and collaboration across several technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate and drive execution across multiple technology teams contributing to project outcomes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, consultants, and leadership.
• Facilitate project governance, status reporting, stakeholder meetings, and executive communications.
• Proactively identify risks, anticipate escalations, and drive timely issue resolution.
• Ensure project commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, quality, and compliance parameters.
• Support change management and communications planning activities.
• Maintain project documentation, governance controls, and reporting artifacts.
• Operate effectively within a hybrid Agile and Waterfall delivery environment.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Project Management experience.
• Proven experience managing enterprise technology projects.
• Strong experience working in Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple workstreams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and drive project execution.
• Strong understanding of project governance and delivery methodologies.
• PMP Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
