Role: Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) for Emerging Markets

Overview: Join our Outside Sales team as an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead for Emerging Markets, where you will be responsible for winning new business and contributing to the growth strategy. This role involves traveling to emerging markets and managing a transactional deal cycle to establish partnerships with local and regional restaurants.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to emerging markets to expand the DoorDash footprint, primarily in rural areas
• Sell restaurant owners on the value of partnering with DoorDash and negotiate revenue share agreements
• Excel in a fast-paced, transactional deal cycle and close new business within days
• Coordinate work with a Regional Sales Manager and utilize sales tools including sales sheets, gift cards, and business cards
• Manage a largely transactional deal cycle to drive new partnerships
• Ensure compliance with travel monitoring and reporting

Required Qualifications:

• 2.5 years of sales experience in a closing sales role or related experience
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to meet with restaurant owners
• Efficient and strategic with inside and outside sales tactics to reach goals
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building strategies and playbooks for scalable success

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses (SMB), especially in the restaurant or food and beverage industry.

Compensation:

• Fixed pay rate of $29/hr due to commission structure (will be explained by the manager during the interview).
• Base compensation plus commission for every new restaurant partnership.

• On Target Earnings (OTE) for commissions: $1,900 per month.
• Opportunity to exceed OTE.
• Commission structure is uncapped.
