Position Title: Operator 1
Work Location: Belvidere NJ
Assignment Duration: 6 months (possibility to extend)
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary:
• Responsible for operating blending/packaging/storage tank equipment related to material handling and movements within the production operations in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, Standard Operating Procedures and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operates storage, blending, milling and packaging equipment to prepare and transfer materials to production through to finished goods inventory. Performs a variety of material handling equipment necessary for the safe and efficient movement of raw/in-process materials and finished goods.
• Complies with GMP,IHQ-7 and ISO regulations and procedures for packaging, handling and storage of incoming, in-process and finished goods, including that which is quarantined, released and expired merchandise.
• Communicates manufacturing process status to Shift Team Lead by informing him/her of any delays, equipment problems, or deviations so that the issues can be addressed
• Documents all production & Packaging activities by completing MPR entries, cleaning records, logbooks, withdrawal sheets and other paperwork to provide an accurate paper trail for every batch.
• Subdivides and delivers batch ingredients utilizing good manufacturing and safety procedures based on production requirements. Receives and stores raw material as per SOP, loads/unloads trucks in an efficient manner that minimizes material damage. Updates receiving and disbursement records as appropriate.
• Assists in production by working overtime as needed and to cover call-ins or absences as necessary.
• Responsible for knowledge and compliance with organizational Safety Standards relating to manual material handling, PPE, hazardous materials, and emergency response procedures.
• Provides timely physical inventory data. Notifies supervisor and/or reorders materials from central warehouse and/or vendors in accordance with production needs and established guidelines.
• Notes equipment malfunctions and promptly requests work orders to restore unit service. Handles packaging requirements including drummed, bagged, or boxed materials.
• Completes appropriate forms and documents necessary for material accountability and inventory control.
• Maintains housekeeping and orderliness of work area.
• Attends shift and morning PDR meetings.
• Displays and promotes positive safety behaviors at all times, ensuring safe operations and compliance with safety directives.
• Ensures Quality procedures and improvement projects are supported and followed. Reports quality deviations or non-conformances.
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime, holidays, and rotating schedules as required.
Qualification & Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level position. No experience necessary.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of assigned duties.
• Meticulous recordkeeping and housekeeping skills.
NOTE: Candidate must have a Valid Driver's License; Driving is required onsite and to and from work
