Job Title: BI Developer (Senior Consultant)
Location: Plano, TX (3-4 days in office)

Job Description: 
Serve as a senior consultant specializing in modern business intelligence and analytics, using Databricks SQL, MS Power BI, and Tableau to deliver data products that enable strategic decisions. Partner with cross functional stakeholders in a hybrid work model to design, develop, and optimize scalable reporting solutions that create measurable impact.

Key Responsiblities:
  • Design end to end analytics solutions that transform complex data into accessible insights by using Databricks SQL, MS Power BI, and Tableau to support strategic and operational decision making across the enterprise.
  • Develop robust data models and semantic layers that improve report performance, ensure data consistency, and enable self-service analytics for diverse business teams.
  • Build interactive Power BI and Tableau dashboards that highlight key performance indicators, trends, and root cause signals with intuitive navigation and clear visual storytelling.
  • Configure and manage Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud environments to optimize content organization, resource utilization, performance tuning, and user access management.
  • Implement advanced Tableau Data Management capabilities to orchestrate data flows, catalog assets, and improve governance of datasets used across critical business reports.
  • Create and optimize paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder to address regulatory, financial, and operational reporting needs that require precise layouts and repeatable distribution.
  • Apply Databricks SQL to design efficient queries, reusable views, and performance optimized datasets that support large scale analytics workloads in a cloud-based data platform.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for visualization standards, data quality checks, and documentation so that analytics products remain reliable, maintainable, and easy to adopt.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, analysts, and engineering partners in a hybrid work model to gather requirements, validate assumptions, and incrementally refine analytics outputs.
  • Guide business stakeholders through data interpretation by explaining visualizations, highlighting actionable insights, and recommending data driven actions that align with company objectives.
  • Coordinate with security and governance teams to implement role-based access controls and compliant data sharing practices across Tableau and Power BI environments.
  • Mentor junior analytics professionals by sharing techniques for data modeling, dashboard design, performance tuning, and stakeholder communication to elevate overall team capability.
  • Document solution design, data lineage, and runbooks so that analytics assets can be efficiently supported, audited, and enhanced over time without unnecessary operational risk.  
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate extensive hands-on experience using Databricks SQL to build performant queries, curated tables, and reusable analytic datasets that power reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Exhibit advanced proficiency with MS Power BI and Power BI Report Builder by delivering complex models, measures, and paginated reports for finance, operations, or commercial functions.
  • Show deep expertise with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Creator to design visually compelling dashboards, parameter driven analyses, and interactive stories tailored to business audiences.
  • Apply practical knowledge of Tableau Server administration and Tableau Cloud configuration to support user provisioning, content governance, monitoring, and upgrade planning.
  • Utilize Tableau Data Management and Tableau Advanced Management capabilities to manage data pipelines, optimize resource consumption, and strengthen observability and governance.
  • Display strong skills in Tableau embedded analytics by integrating dashboards into internal portals or applications to bring insights directly into user workflows and decision points.
  • Use solid understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling concepts to design star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and fact tables that enhance reporting usability.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders through clear written materials and presentations that translate analytical findings into practical recommendations.
  • Leverage experience in large scale enterprise environments with hybrid work arrangements to coordinate tasks, maintain transparency, and deliver outcomes without travel requirements.
