Job Description
Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist
About the role
You will help ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of our career site and candidate-facing experiences. This includes content, design, and functional testing to confirm pages look and behave as intended and that candidate journeys work smoothly across devices and browsers.
What you’ll do
Career site quality
-
Test updates to the career site, including new pages, layout changes, search and job detail pages, and application flows.
-
Review requirements, designs, and acceptance criteria to understand expected behavior before testing begins.
-
Create, maintain, and execute test cases and checklists focused on end-to-end candidate journeys.
-
Log, prioritize, and track defects in collaboration with developers and project owners, verifying fixes before release.
Content testing
-
Verify that content (copy, job data, links, labels, alt text, metadata) is accurate, complete, and displays correctly across templates and devices.
-
Check for consistency with content and tone-of-voice guidelines, including job titles, teams, locations, and benefits language.
-
Identify and document issues such as broken links, missing or incorrect assets, formatting problems, and incorrect redirects.
-
Validate localized content (where applicable) for correct placement, formatting, and alignment with source content, raising issues to content owners as needed.
Design and UX testing
-
Validate that pages and components match approved designs, including layout, spacing, typography, color, imagery, and interaction states.
-
Test key UX elements such as navigation, site search, filters, pagination, and “Apply” actions to ensure journeys are intuitive and consistent.
-
Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing (desktop, tablet, mobile) to confirm visual and functional consistency.
-
Check basic accessibility aspects (e.g., color contrast, focus states, keyboard navigation, alt text, heading structure) and document any issues.
Functional and technical testing
-
Execute manual tests for critical flows such as job search, filtering, job view, apply, and (if applicable) candidate sign-in or profile creation.
-
Perform regression testing for each release to ensure new updates do not negatively impact existing features or content.
-
Validate key integration points with ATS/HR systems, analytics tags, and third-party tools, with guidance from more senior team members where needed.
-
Document test results, provide clear QA sign-off or risk assessments, and contribute input to release go/no-go decisions.
