Location- Everett, WA
Duration- 6 Months
Job description
We are hiring temporary 5S Training Specialists to deliver frequent training sessions to large groups in a manufacturing setting. You will present 5S, visual management, and workplace organization sessions, coordinate schedules with production, and minimize operational disruption. Responsibilities include facilitating classroom-setting training module (5S Overview Training) to 20+ participants per session. Collaborate with Program Supervisory and continuous improvement teams to align content with site goals and compliance. Candidates must be safety-conscious, adaptable to multiple shifts, multiple locations around Puget Sound, and able to work with multidisciplinary and unionized teams. Preferred qualifications include manufacturing experience and Lean or 5S facilitator certification.
Required Skills:
• Self-starter — Initiates sessions with minimal supervision to keep 5S momentum moving across shifts
• Presentation skills — Delivers clear, engaging, and visually supported lessons to large groups, tailoring pace and content to varied experience levels for maximum retention
• Organizational skills — Manages multiple training schedules, materials, and participant records; coordinates with production to minimize disruption and ensure consistent follow-up. Able to build and deploy action plans
• Punctual — Consistently arrives on time and starts sessions promptly to respect production schedules and maintain credibility with shop-floor teams
• Approachable — Builds rapport with operators and supervisors, encourages questions, and provides patient, practical coaching to support adoption of 5S behaviors
• Tenacity — Persistently follows up on sustainment activities, addresses resistance, and drives continuous improvement until standards are embedded in daily routines
Background:
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing or continuous improvement roles with direct experience delivering large-group training events. Demonstrated expertise in 5S and Lean principles, plus strong safety awareness and the ability to work multiple shifts. Required: excellent verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to engage diverse and unionized teams; reliable transportation and flexibility for site travel.
