Position Title: Medical Assistant
Work Location: Scottsdale Az 85253
Permanent Fulltime
Work Arrangement:
100% on-site

English/Spanish- additional $1

Position Summary:
• The Medical Assistant will be a key contributor to our first-class care team at our organization. They will deliver on our commitment to excellence to our patients and help us grow through their role.
• The Medical Assistant will have end-to-end responsibility for the direct patient care experience navigation. This role is core to partnering with the care team in supporting patients in their journey toward their best health. This position has an emphasis on customer/patient care excellence, privacy, compliance and serving in a dynamic health setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Establish a strong rapport with the patient, to include delivering an exceptional patient care experience.
• Prepare patients for their visit to include communicating details around their scheduled visit, explaining all relevant information clearly, take vitals, and complete updates to patient record as required.
• Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and ensure clean instruments are available for the daily care center operations.
• Assist provider with medical treatments, procedures, and exams.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Working hours may include extended hours.
• This position requires 100% on-site work at the care center location and may also involve movement between clinics as needed.

Qualification & Experience:
• Excellent interpersonal skills to include maintaining courteous, friendly, and effective communications with patients, team members and external parties.
• Electronic Medicare Records experience.
• Customer service orientation and experience.
• Strong communication skills across multiple modalities.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Empathy and advocacy.
• Exceptional organizational skills and are detail oriented.
• The ability to always maintain confidentiality.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A medical assistant certification or completed an accredited medical assistant certification program and obtain a medical assistant registration or certification within six months of hire.
• A phlebotomy certification or obtain one within six months of hire.
• A Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• An active Arizona fingerprint clearance card.
