Job Description
We are seeking a motivated technician to join our composite material and structural bonding laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of tasks ranging from tool preparation, prepreg lay-up, bonding, machining, mechanical testing, photography, and assembly. The job requires the ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, equipment, and measuring instruments. It also requires the ability to read and work in accordance with visual aids, work instructions, and process specifications.
As a member of the lab team, you will commit to team goals; be flexible in your day-to-day work assignment; help coordinate team communication; and participate in process improvement/ lean best practices implementation.
The role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a strict adherence to engineering and safety requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to troubleshoot minor hardware and software issues independently.
Experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Trade school or students preferred
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with prepreg lay-up, mechanical testing, assembly, and/or machining.
