Job Description:
  • The ‘Lead Integration Engineer’ will be responsible to provide technical leadership on end-to-end development & delivery of new insurance products & capabilities enabling new business opportunities and operational efficiencies utilizing DevOps and Agile for developing and leading various underwriting frameworks and its adoptions with various lines of business. This role is also responsible for all integrations and interfaces upstream as well as downstream supporting business objectives.
  • This role will require the candidate to perform hands-on development and technically lead globally distributed development teams to deliver platforms and services in the most efficient way possible.
  • This role requires hands-on knowledge of building cloud native applications using open source technologies, strong Integration background, design thinking, seamless execution, strong relationship management and effective communication capabilities. The Integration Lead will be accountable for planning, leading technical design, hands-on coding and coordinating medium to large scale, moderately complex projects; ensuring that the goals and objectives are accomplished with high quality, within established time frames and meet customer and/or business needs. The Integration Engineer will design and implement platforms for continuous delivery of features and capabilities aligned with business priorities.
 
Scope/Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for the application design and problem solving, and will be accountable for building secure and scalable solutions
  • You will be hands-on with projects, developing some modules and also getting deep into design and other members code
  • Mentor Junior Engineers
  • Lead end-to-end development, implementation and integration of new insurance products, packages utilizing Underwriting Frameworks and Client’s technology stack.
  • Partner with Product Manager/Owner, BA, Developers and enterprise teams to define and deliver optimum application and solution architecture to meet current and future underwriting and policy admin platform needs.
  • Lead high level design, review code and implementation by the development teams.
  • Communicate regularly in accordance with agreed upon communications plan.
  • Prepare technical documentations and deliver formal presentations for sprint and system demos.
  • Leverage agile-based operating model across multiple Scrum teams.
  • Able to multi-task across different platform implementations.
  • Manage production workloads and act as an SME for L3 issues.
 
Location:
  • This position is primarily located in Whitehouse Station, NJ but requires travel to other Client’s locations on an as needed basis.
 
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field.
  • Overall 8-12 years of IT experience.
  • At least 3 years of cloud native application development using docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience in Causality & Property lines platform/systems implementation is preferred
  • Experience in technology stack such as Java, Spring Boot, Camel, Camunda, IBM BAMOE/Drools, XML, CSS, XSLT, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), Prometheus, Grafana etc.,
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of Microservices & API Mgmt., Cloud Platforms such as Microsoft Azure and DevOps process is required.
  • Good knowledge of Data & Analytics technologies such as Data Lakes, Business Intelligence Tools, Predictive Models, 3rd Party Data.
  • Experience in development of REST based APIs using Open API specification and/or creating specifications w/swagger
  • Experience in configuring DevOps continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
  • Perform complex troubleshooting of critical problem tickets, resolving defects in existing production software and provide root-cause analysis
  • Hands-on experience working with code quality and code coverage tools/frameworks
  • Understanding of how to secure webapps and APIs using OpenID/OAuth2.0 standards.
  • Experience in caching technologies and search is a plus
  • Ability to motivate team members and effectively delegate responsibilities to ensure timely delivery.
  • Excellent written/verbal skills and demonstrated ability to meet commitments under pressure.
