Job Description
Position Title: Phlebotomist I
Work Location: NC - Charlotte - 5933 Blakeney Park Drive
Assignment Duration: 3-month
Shift/Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Training/Report to Location: Orientation and training: Branch, 5901 Northwoods Business Parkway Charlotte NC
Vaccines: MMR, T-DAP, Varicella, Flu, TB, Hep B (candidate may decline Hep B).
Position Summary:
This position involves drawing blood and processing specimens. The individual will pull orders from the EPIC system and conduct light processing of specimens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw blood from patients.
- Process specimens and ensure proper handling.
- Pull orders from EPIC.
- Perform light processing on blood samples.
Qualification & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-year phlebotomy experience.
- Ability to draw blood independently and handle hard sticks.
- Comfort in drawing blood for various adult patient demographics, including pregnant individuals.
- Customer service experience.
- Flexibility in handling diverse patient needs.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Candidate must be comfortable standing most of the shift, with regular breaks.
- In an OBGYN office setting.
- Two weeks of orientation and training at the branch before beginning independent work.
