Associate Attorney (Medical Malpractice & General Liability)
Firm: Agajanian, McFall, Weiss, Tetreault & Crist, LLP (AV Preeminent Rated)
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Mid-City/Hollywood area)
Work Model: Hybrid (4 days in-office / 1 day remote)

Join an elite, nine-lawyer defense firm with a 50-year legacy of representing preeminent hospitals and healthcare corporations. This is not a "back-office" role; you will manage your own caseload from inception to resolution under the direct mentorship of senior partners. You will defend high-profile clients in medical malpractice (75%) and unique general liability cases (25%), including sports and entertainment venues like SoFi Stadium.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- The Experience "Sweet Spot": 2 to 5 years of litigation experience. We will consider up to 9 years for the right fit, but this is not an entry-level role (no recent grads/unlicensed candidates).
- Defense DNA: Previous experience in Insurance Defense is highly preferred. You must understand the mechanics of time billing.
- Skill Set: You should be proficient in drafting Motions for Summary Judgment (MSJs), conducting depositions, and analyzing complex medical records.
- Case Management: Handle your own caseload with partner supervision, taking ownership of a case from the moment, it comes in until it is resolved.
- Litigation: Draft and file pleadings, motions, and briefs; perform deep legal research and analysis of medical/employment records.
- Advocacy: Conduct witness interviews, lead depositions, and make regular court appearances.
- Client Relations: Maintain direct correspondence and provide detailed reporting to hospital administrators and physicians.
- J.D. Degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar License (Must be in good standing).
- Commute: Must be within driving distance of the Los Angeles office (required in-office 4 days a week for the first 4-6 months).
- Ability: Capable of juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, "AV Preeminent" environment.
