Title: Data Analyst III
Location: Greater Toronto Area, but worker must be local and come into the office at least once a month.
Duration: 07+ months

• Typical working hours from 8.30am to 5pm.

Job Description:
Minimum Education Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field

Must haves:

• Power BI & Looker
• PySpark & Snowflake SQL and Data Analysis
• Strong communication Skills (Requirement gathering, setting right expectations, ask questions, willingness to learn and grow)

Job Description:

• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis role
• 5+ years of experience in Python, PySpark & Snowflake SQL, and visualization tools like Power BI or Looker.
• A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation.
• Strong business judgment, leadership, and integrity. You should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation.
• Self-starter and adaptable. You’re energized and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of databases and proficient in writing PySpark or native SQL in systems like Hive, Snowflake and Presto.
• Strong skills in BI tools, Looker and Excel.
• Drives initiatives independently with minimal supervision.

 
Preferred Skills:

• Skilled in using data mining techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Experienced in analysing and debugging data with Spark/PySpark.
• Familiar with Airflow for workflow management.
• Able to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional, matrix environment.
