Job Description
Position Title: Policy Governance Control Coordinator
Duration: 12 months (Hybrid)
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Working hours: 9:00am to 5:30pm
Role Summary
This contract role provides policy governance support during a leave of absence and to address sustained increases in policy related demand.
Support the execution of policy governance activities, including policy updates, intake coordination, tracking, and stakeholder engagement. The role is execution focused and operates under the direction of BMO management as part of the Policy Governance team. Policy governance is a core control function that supports audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and enterprise initiatives. This role is critical to maintaining continuity, reducing concentration risk, and supporting time sensitive policy deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of policy updates, including out of cycle and non scheduled updates, in accordance with established governance standards
- Manage policy intake and tracking, ensuring requests are logged, monitored, and progressed in a timely manner
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, Compliance, Legal, and other enterprise partners to support policy reviews and approvals
- Assist with maintaining and updating policy governance dashboards and tracking tools,
- Support updates to policy governance processes, documentation, and enablement activities arising from enterprise initiatives and regulatory change, including AI integration and intranet content remediation.
- Maintain clear documentation and status reporting to support audit and oversight requirements
Scope and Level
- Execution focused role supporting defined policy governance deliverables
- Work is performed under the direction and prioritization of BMO management
- Does not hold policy ownership or decision making authority
MUST HAVE
-2+ yrs experience supporting policy, governance, regulatory, or
-2+ compliance related work in financial services role
-Comfortable with MS Office, Sharepoint, Adobe, Excel (intermediate)
-Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines.
-Experience working with cross functional stakeholders
-Comfortable working with tracking tools, dashboards, and documentation repositories
-Strong written communication skills /policy writing experience and attention to detail
-Experience supporting time sensitive, control based work.

Any specific education/certifications: experience within financial services and/or diploma degree in same
