The Department aims to shape the future of pathology as it will be practiced in community hospitals, academic medical centers and clinical laboratories throughout the country.The Medical Records Clerk will process incoming and outgoing mail and packages, responds to inquiries and requests for information requiring knowledge of departmental and university policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Medical Terminology is a nice to have as it will allow them to be more successful in this roleIn this Department, the candidate will be supporting 15-20 Pathologists so this is a very fast paced environment and candidates must be quick on their feet and must be able to change gears at any given moment. Candidate must have thick skin and be able to support multiple personalities. Candidate will support a library of tissue slides and will be responsible to retrieve them and put them back. If they are familiar with tissue slides and/or have worked in a Pathology lab before and have strong administrative skills in MS Office and Excel then they would have the skills to perform the role.
