Title: Project Manager IV
Location: Toronto, Ontario, CAN (Hybrid: 2 days onsite for now, will go up 4 days)
Duration: 9 Months
Schedule: Mon to Friday- Core business hours
Interview process: 2 interviews – could be either virtual or in person
 
Candidate Profile Details:
  • Years of Overall Experience: 5 plus years in a technology PM- Quant Modelling exp
  • Technology/ Quant PM experience
  • Town hall planning
  • Financial background – understanding the finance aspects of projects
  • Financial products knowledge and experience
  • Strong excel/ PP
  • Banking experience not required for this role
 
Summary of the Role:
  • Support the strategic planning and tracking of key global QMA initiatives and reporting for senior stakeholders, including the QMA book of work, executive-level monthly and quarterly updates, and in-depth business allocation assessments
  • Drive engagement through the planning of monthly QMA team meetings and the preparation of annual QMA townhall materials
  • Support QMA team-level operations, including resource forecasting and timesheet governance on Clarity and hiring administration

Job Scope

Job Requirements     
  • Ideally 5+ years in a Technology Project Management role (financial services strongly preferred, with a quantitative modelling angle focus)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with significant experience in technical report writing, data organization, and executive communication
  • Strong financial acumen to interpret complex data and provide meaningful context related to financial products across the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) business lines
  • Advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, data cleaning; macros a plus)
  • Strong PowerPoint skills producing polished, executive-ready materials
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a hedge fund/asset manager/investment bank or similar high-performance environment
  • Familiarity with Tableau and/or basic SQL, Python and GenAI tools
  • Exposure to tools such as Jira and Confluence
 
Role Overview:
  • Quantitative Modeling and Analytics (QMA) team is responsible for the valuation models for the Global Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities businesses.  The models are used for the intraday and official valuations of a wide range of financial products, and the model outputs feed numerous downstream processes, including VaR, regulatory reporting, stress testing, and liquidity reporting.
  • The QMA team works closely with front office trading and sales to deliver on their risk management, valuation and quantitative strategy needs.  Moreover, the QMA team partners with Technology teams to build out the official and intraday valuation systems and support the integration of models into downstream processes. 
  • We are hiring a Technology Project Manager with a strong technical foundation in quantitative modelling and analytics.  The successful candidate will be responsible for project tracking and programme management while maintaining alignment with key objectives.  The initial focus will be on management reporting, project coordination, meeting management, and executive presentation support.  In addition, the ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, analytical, and comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders to translate complex activity into clear, decision-ready outputs.
 
Scope:
Reporting & Business Insights
  • Deliver regular and ad-hoc management reporting(weekly/monthly dashboards, performance and operational updates)
  • Collaborate across teams
  • Ensure outputs are accurate, timely, audience-appropriate, and highlight key themes, trends, and actions
  • Maintain strong data integrity, documentation, and version control
Project Coordination
  • Track business initiatives, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables
  • Maintain and monitor project plans
  • Drive progress via action tracking, follow-ups, and accountability
  • Support process improvement by documenting workflows and enabling efficient practices
Meeting Management
  • Own structure and logistics for recurring forums (business reviews, OKR reviews, project check-ins)
  • Create agendas and circulate pre-reads; capture minutes, decisions, actions, owners, and deadlines
  • Maintain action logs and ensure follow-through to completion
Executive Communication & Presentations
  • Build/refine executive-level PowerPoint decks for leadership updates and strategic initiatives as needed
  • Turn complex information into clear narratives, charts, and concise summaries
  • Draft communications on behalf of the business head (status notes, recaps) where appropriate
Business Head Support
  • Act as a trusted partner: anticipate needs, prioritize requests, and manage deadlines
  • Support planning for offsites and quarterly/strategic planning activities
  • Serve as a coordination point to streamline cross-team communication
