Title: Program Manager III/ Research Program Manager
Duration: 7+ months

Role Overview
The Research Program Manager will oversee Research Operations for the MSL UXR organization. This role focuses on managing centralized research programs (e.g., rapid research), budget forecasting and tracking, participant recruitment, and research governance.
This individual will drive operational excellence, improve team efficiency, and support cross-functional collaboration while ensuring financial and program accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Operational Leadership
- Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve team efficiency, impact, and operational outcomes.
- Establish scalable operational systems, workflows, and documentation standards.
- Develop clear program roadmaps, provide regular updates, and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and navigate blockers efficiently.
Research Operations & Governance
- Manage centralized research programs (e.g., rapid research initiatives).
- Oversee research governance processes and compliance standards.
- Improve and standardize internal processes, templates, and documentation.
- Support participant recruitment operations.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with leadership to improve team communication, information flow, and collaboration.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sourcing and Vendor Engagement to streamline contracting.
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Manage relationships with preferred vendors and optimize intake processes.
Financial & Budget Management
- Manage operational and financial efficiency of the MSL budget.
- Maintain accurate financial datasets, reporting files, and forecasting models.
- Track budget utilization and ensure alignment with program goals.
Data & Reporting
- Perform data analysis to generate actionable business insights.
- Prepare metric-driven status reports and executive-ready summaries.
- Leverage data to inform decisions and drive measurable improvements.
AI Integration & Innovation
- Integrate AI tools and workflows into research operations and program management.
- Drive responsible and ethical AI adoption across cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through AI-enabled solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in Research Operations, Program Management, or related operational leadership roles.
- Strong budget forecasting, financial tracking, and reporting experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and executive communication.
- Experience managing vendors and contracting workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights.
- Proven experience integrating AI tools into business workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
