Job Description
The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Control Tower Engineer to join the Control Tower Field Quality team at the Headquarters Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI. The Control Tower Engineer is responsible for identifying, creating and triaging warranty issues, working closely with engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing and service teams to analyze parts and vehicles to resolve warranty issues for our customers. Opportunities are available in the Vehicle Engineering VEHE Control Tower Mechatronics team, which includes but is not limited to switches, latches, door systems, mirrors, electronic shifters, wiper systems, and seat controls. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the identification of warranty related issues through part analysis and vehicle reviews the Control Tower Engineer is accountable for initial problemsolving, proposed responsible functional area and clean point validation. Propose triage recommendations based on combined data and physical insights for resolution by downstream teams. Support governance of the warranty issue through its lifecycle This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company team whose focus is to change the automotive landscape.
