Job Description
Role: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Gilbert, AZ 85233
Duration: 5 Months with possible extension
Schedule: First Shift (Limited Hybrid - Up to 1 Day per Week)
Overview: As a Senior Systems Verification Engineer in the Space and Defense Group Spacecraft Avionics team, you will provide engineering support and direction for various development and production programs involving electronics circuit boards and their associated test equipment systems and software. You will be responsible for planning and executing requirement verification analysis and test activities.

Overview: As a Senior Systems Verification Engineer in the Space and Defense Group Spacecraft Avionics team, you will provide engineering support and direction for various development and production programs involving electronics circuit boards and their associated test equipment systems and software. You will be responsible for planning and executing requirement verification analysis and test activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a cross-functional product team to execute the completion of programs and initiatives for assigned products
- Create and maintain test plans and test procedures to verify embedded system requirements including software, firmware, electrical high-speed digital, power, mixed-signal, and mechanical environments
- Write, maintain, and train on test procedures utilized by technicians and engineers for product environmental qualification, system requirement verification, and production unit acceptance tests
- Manage verification of technical requirements within specific hardware configurations and produce technical artifacts to document that verification
- Learn and adhere to standard business operating documents regarding processes required on assigned programs
- Perform engineering analysis using engineering fundamentals and computational software for verification of hardware and software requirements
- Generate, organize, and maintain technical data, reports, drawings, and procedures, utilizing existing configuration management processes to release and update product documentation
- Execute and manage program engineering tasks within an established program budget and scope
- Minimum of a BS in Electrical Engineering or BS in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering work experience (preferably 10 years)
- Proven track record in digital, power, and/or mixed-signal electronics design, printed circuit board design, and prototyping
- Experience with embedded computer systems, microprocessor, microcontroller, or FPGA/ASIC architecture definition and development
- Test planning for unit, subsystem, and system testing to verify electrical, mechanical, and software requirements under various environmental conditions
- Authoring test plans, procedures, and scripts for product verification, qualification, and acceptance testing
- Systems engineering analysis and requirement verification in space electronic systems
- Aerospace/Defense system modeling and requirement development
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to communicate clearly and professionally
- Demonstrated ownership with great attention to detail and a sense of urgency in addressing challenges
- Ability to make timely technical decisions that maintain product integrity
- Willingness to adapt and make changes to meet business needs
- Problem-solving, continuous improvement, planning and organizing, leadership, and maintaining work standards
- Empathy and humility towards colleagues
- Proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Visio
- Understanding of computer architecture and drawing standards
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software embedded subsystems
- Experience leading root cause analyses to address manufacturing issues, nonconformances, or test failures
- Capability to organize and lead a technical team of engineers and technicians to verify requirements
