Job Description:
Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:
The Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) / Data Analyst serves as a strategic partner to Procurement business clients, translating highly complex business requests, processes, and data needs into scalable analytical solutions. This role is responsible for transforming procurement use cases into standardized data products and Power BI visualizations that support ad hoc analysis, operational reporting, and advanced analytics, including AI-enabled models. Working across business, technical, and offshore teams, the Technical BSA ensures solutions are aligned with business objectives, data governance standards, compliance requirements, and successful delivery through the full system lifecycle.
Knowledge / Skills:
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development, reporting, data flows, and data visualization.
• Strong SQL expertise with at least 3 years of experience in querying, data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics workflows.
• Working knowledge of Dataiku for advanced data preparation, machine learning pipelines, and automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business language.
• Ability to partner effectively with business, technical, and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Knowledge of standardized data cleansing and transformation practices to support reusable data products.
• Understanding of how to support analytics needs ranging from ad hoc requests to enterprise reporting and AI use cases.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Project / Process Management:
• Partner with Procurement stakeholders to analyze business requests, define requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain standardized, cleansed, and transformed data products to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Troubleshoot data, reporting, and process issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Ensure solutions comply with applicable policies, procedures, and data governance standards throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline reporting, automation, and analytics processes.
Accountability / Scope:
• Reports to the leader within the BTS Procurement
• Partners closely with Procurement business clients, technical teams, and offshore resources.
• Accountable for translating business needs into functional data products and reporting solutions.
• Responsible for the quality, accuracy, and usability of data products, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
• Ensures compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and system lifecycle standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in SQL, data analysis, reporting, or business systems analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Python, and data preparation or analytics tools such as Dataiku.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• High-energy, organized, and detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working in a high-visibility, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to balance both the big picture and the technical details while delivering high-quality work.

• Top 3-5 skills required:
1. Advanced proficiency in Power BI for dashboard/report creation, data flows, and visualizations
