Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure. Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software. Monitors the performance of systems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in AIX and RHEL/SUSE Linux administration
- Strong expertise in IBM Power Systems (Power7–Power11), HMC, GPFS clusters, WPARs, and VIOS virtualization, including enterprise virtual environments (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V)
- Proven experience managing AIX lifecycle: NIM, OS upgrades, patching, security eFixes, firmware/microcode updates
- Solid experience with storage & networking (NPIV, SEA, EtherChannel, RAID, SAN, storage migrations)
- Strong background in OS hardening, EDR Tools, AIX Trust Execution, security compliance, backup, and disaster recovery
- Advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning across OS, network, and storage in 24x7 production environments
- Linux administration including OS upgrades, patching, Red Hat Satellite, yum/dnf, and automation using Ansible
- Strong scripting skills (ksh/bash/Python) for automation and operational efficiency
- Experience with ITIL processes, enterprise monitoring tools, JIRA, and supporting Db2/Oracle infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in mission-critical environments
- 8+ years in Linux administration with strong experience in RHEL/SUSE.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Satellite, virtualization platforms, storage, DNS/DHCP, monitoring, and backups.
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python) and familiarity with databases and EDR tools.
