Description:
- Client is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to sample management, testing, analysis, and reporting.
- Your work will be critical in ensuring the safety and integrity of samples, while also contributing to the accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Sample Management: Receive, label, and safely store samples to be tested, ensuring that proper handling and storage procedures are followed at all times. Testing & Analysis: Determine the necessary tests for sample analysis and perform them accurately according to established protocols.
- Documentation & Reporting: Record test results and analyses in a clear, accurate, and organized manner, ensuring that reports are completed and communicated to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Result Communication: Discuss and answer any questions regarding test results, providing clear explanations to internal teams or clients when needed.
- Sample Storage & Safety: Organize and store samples in compliance with safety guidelines and other relevant requirements to ensure both the safety of personnel and the integrity of the samples. Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality, including recalibrating instruments when required.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and daily work logs, ensuring all data is up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed on the latest technical and scientific advances in laboratory testing and methodologies, incorporating new knowledge to enhance testing procedures and accuracy.
Qualification:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Laboratory Technology) or equivalent practical experience in a laboratory setting.
- Previous experience in a laboratory technician role or related field preferred. Knowledge of laboratory testing methods, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Ability to accurately record and report test results. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures. Proficient in the use of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to stay current with developments in laboratory technologies and best practices.
