Job Title: Technical Product Owner – Data & Analytics
Location: Remote (Occasional travel to Philadelphia 2–4x/year for PI Planning)
Duration: 5 Months (Extension possible)
 
We are seeking a Technical Product Owner – Data & Analytics to drive the delivery of data-driven solutions within an Agile environment. This role will bridge business needs with technical execution by transforming complex requirements into actionable backlog items and delivering high-quality BI and data products.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Product Ownership & Delivery

• Own and manage the product backlog for Data & BI initiatives
• Translate business requirements into epics, user stories, and roadmaps
• Define acceptance criteria and ensure quality deliverables

 
Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business analysts, BI teams, and data architects
• Gather, validate, and prioritize reporting and analytics requirements
• Align solutions with enterprise data architecture

 
Agile Execution

• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives, PI Planning)
• Work closely with developers, QA, and Scrum teams

 
Quality & Communication

• Validate dashboards, reports, and data products before release
• Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders

 
Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Data & BI product ownership
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Expertise in data modeling (star schema, normalized/denormalized models)
• Hands-on experience with Tableau / Power BI
• Experience with AWS tools (Redshift, SageMaker preferred)
• Strong Agile/Scrum experience

 
Preferred Skills:

• Insurance domain experience (Disability, FMLA, Life)
• Data governance and data quality exposure
• CI/CD and version control knowledge
