Job Title: Laboratory Technician (Microbial Repository)
Duration:12 Months
Location:9330 Zionsville Rd ,IndianapolisIN
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Type: Onsite only (No remote/non-local candidates)

 

Education & Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Biotechnology or related science field OR

• Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience

Required Skills & Experience

• Background in:

  • Biology / Microbiology / Biotechnology

• Hands-on experience with:

  • GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)

  • Aseptic Techniques (required)

  • LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)

  • Lab Automation (preferred)

• Strong:

  • Attention to detail

  • Organizational skills

  • Communication & time management

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of scientists and technicians, the contractor will:

• Support day-to-day operations of the Microbial Repository

• Perform routine and non-routine lab tasks, including:

  • Ordering supplies

  • Cleaning and organizing lab areas

  • Performing manual liquid transfers

  • Operating automated liquid handlers

  • Storing and retrieving samples from freezers and shakers

• Pick and prepare samples for internal/customer delivery

• Assist other laboratory teams during low workload periods

• Collaborate closely with technicians and scientists to ensure smooth operations
