Job Title: Project Manager (Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity)
Duration: 12 Months (Right to Hire)
Location: Hybrid (Newark, NJ)
Summary:
As a member of the Security, Delivery, and Portfolio (SDP) team, you will be responsible for implementing operational sustainability initiatives, primarily focused on remediating BC/DR (Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery) Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure (hardware/software), vulnerability mitigation, compliance, modernization efforts, and process enhancements. Additionally, your role requires End of Life (EOL) experience and ability in Business Continuity (BC) planning and knowledge in preparing for and executing technology disaster recovery tests.
Responsibilities:
• Manage an assigned set of medium to large scale IT Infrastructure projects.
• Conduct application architecture assessments and help define solutions for complex problems.
• Assist in the creation, review, and updating of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Design/customize and execute migration workflows.
• Maintain focus on project risks and interdependencies across the life cycle, making contingency plans to proactively address concerns that pose risk to budget, schedule, and scope.
• Engage cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business units and application areas for problem solving, short-and long-term technology solutions, and risk mitigation activities.
• Drive results and resolve issues including the ability to assess and course correct, as necessary.
• Display strong organizational skills with diligence evidenced through sound analytical skills.
• Solves complex problems, takes a new perspective using existing solutions
• Display strong initiative, addressing issues without prompting.
• Assist in preparing presentations and presents to leadership and stakeholders.
• Ability to work across organizations and through obstacles.
Qualifications:
• 5-7 years experience in managing multiple medium-to-large scale IT Infrastructure projects / programs collaborating with cross functional teams in the financial services industry.
• Exposure to Business Continuity, including development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BC Plans).
• Experience with Disaster Recovery, specifically Technology Disaster Recovery (DR) testing.
• Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills; good consensus builder
• Outstanding collaborative skills and ability to interface across organizational levels and cultures.
• Ability to develop and leverage relationships.
• Strong drive for results; able to meet tight deadlines in a fluid, challenging environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related software tools.
• Capable of executing short-term (tactical) and long term (strategic) plans
• Excellent customer focus, with experience effectively managing matrix relationships.
• Skill at resolving conflict and negotiating effectively and tactfully.
• Proven history of time-management, leadership, and people skills
• Ability to multi-task and comfortable working with ambiguity at times
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications is a plus.
• Experience with OpenPages and Fusion for BC/DR data collection, testing, and audit is a plus.
***Required to work up to five weekends annually to carry out technology disaster recovery testing.***
