Description:
- This is a 3PL warehouse environment, owned/operated by Langham Logistics.
- Manage the strategic partnership with the 3rd Party Logistics provider (3PL) serving as liaison between Client manufacturing sites and the provider.
- Develop and execute the on-site operations strategy in partnership with 3PL local leadership team, manufacturing sites, planning, and transportation.
- Lead and monitor integration of SAP and LSP systems; prepare and present governance views: monthly dashboards, scorecards, KPIs and metrics sufficient to measure performance.
- Lead/participate cross-functional work streams with 3PL, accounting, corporate systems planning, procurement, master data, pricing and contracting, quality, manufacturing network, supply chain, technical operations, and information systems.
- Facilitate resolution of quality issues within the 3PL warehouse (e.g. damage, packaging list errors, temperature excursions).
- Investigate and resolve all shipment and ERP exceptions, including incomplete shipments and quantity discrepancies, including quality record ownership.Ongoing project management focused on continuous process improvement.
- Provide and communicate inventory status updates and support advanced transactions requiring research and intra-department coordination and/or approvals.
- Provide overall supply support to manufacturing network (e.g. troubleshooting, work priorities and assists with formulating corrective actions), to ensure the timely effective completion of tasks and alignment to company goals and objectives.
- Support manufacturing by ensuring optimal raw material distribution and contractual performance of the 3PL.
- Ensure current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Safety compliance.
- Utilizes project management skills to support Logistic Service Provider (LSP) integration and continuous operations.
- Understand and implement Operations Excellence activities to improve business processes.
- Collaborate with the LSP to ensure adherence to service levels, identifying performance improvement opportunities in alignment with the Operations READ framework (reliability, efficiency, agility, differentiation).
- Conduct monthly governance and quarterly business reviews with the LSP/3PL.
- Lead/participate in business decisions impacting US raw materials distribution operations.
- Ensure compliance with required training for staff supporting Client business.
- Manage overview of LSP/3PL business with input from manufacturing sites and/or Louisville Distribution Center team.
- Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits.
- Lead the development and revision of SOPs.
- Interact with the FDA and other governmental inspection agencies.
- Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship, and training to staff and partner groups.
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree or Master’s degree and 2 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience or Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience or High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
- Distribution/Logistics/Warehouse operations experience
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Good Distribution Practice (GDP) experience
