Job Description

Position Title: Technical Support Tech I
Assignment Duration: 6 months
Location: New Carlisle, IN
Shift: Comfortable to workdays/nights/weekends as needed (main shifts are M-F or Sun-Wed)

Job Description:
  • Responsible for labeling and patching cables to switches and hand off to client customers.
  • Start to finish server racks.
  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Require Skills:
  • May require an associate's degree in a related area and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Must Haves:
  • Fiber cable and CAT5 and CAT6 cables
  • Needs to be able to go up and down ladders easily and be on their feet all day and lift over 40 pounds consistently
Preferred Skills:
  • Data center environment experience would be a plus
