- 3+ years’ experience testing complex interactive applications on desktop, mobile and web.
- Hands-on experience writing automated test suites using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in a professional workflow.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining test plans for ongoing feature development.

- The role is in the Platform Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. This team defines and builds the software platform the Fusion 360 family of products is built upon.
- Client is looking for a QA Engineer to join our team developing interactive 3D applications and frameworks and across desktop, mobile and web platforms in our platform organization.
- We are looking for people who are enthusiastic about building very innovative 3D applications that capture the imagination of users designing real world objects and creations. These applications are aimed at the broad eco-system of designers and manufacturers creating the objects we work with and interact with in our day to day lives.
- As a member of our team, you will have a significant impact on how we design, build, and deliver our products across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, and web). As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for end-to-end testing of applications, building test automation suites, and developing testing tools used by our team as we work on state-of-the-art products and technologies on Windows, Mac, iOS, and web platforms.
Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end testing of highly interactive applications across desktop, mobile and web platforms.
- Design, write, and maintain automated test suites using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent tools.
- Collaborate with developers to define and create acceptance tests for new features.
- Create and maintain documented test plans for ongoing work.
- Investigate failed automation tests, triage results, and report issues in our bug tracking system.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test creation, debugging, and code generation.
- Install and test nightly/pre-release builds on local machines to catch issues early in the development cycle.
- Work within short sprint cycles (2–4 weeks) and contribute across the full software lifecycle from design to deployment.
- Stay current with best practices, emerging tools, and trends in test automation and quality engineering.
- Communicate updates on testing system capabilities, coverage, and results to the broader team.
- Champion product quality and advocate for testing best practices across the team.
- 3+ years’ experience testing complex interactive applications on desktop, mobile and web.
- Hands-on experience writing automated test suites using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in a professional workflow.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining test plans for ongoing feature development.
- Solid understanding of QA processes, test automation strategies, and quality reporting.
- Comfort installing and testing nightly or pre-release software builds on personal development machines.
- Strong communication skills including writing, speaking, and presenting in English.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly to evolving tools and practices.
- Openness to new challenges and willingness to extend expertise beyond current areas of focus.
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelors
- Experience testing 3D applications for modelling and visualization.
- Familiarity with interactive 3D graphics applications such as CAD tools (e.g., Fusion, Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into continuous integration workflows.
