Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a point of contact between the internal service team, AWS Event Content team, and event speakers, communicating guidelines, changes, requirements, and concerns among parties
- Coordinate the integration and deployment of the hands-on session platform for technical sessions at AWS events
- Manage the end-to-end workflow for interactive sessions, from planning through execution
- Translate technical requirements and constraints between engineering teams and content stakeholders
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless session delivery for speakers and attendees
- Develop and maintain documentation, best practices, and communications for event speakers
- Monitor session performance and gather feedback to inform product enhancements
Required Qualifications
**Technical Expertise**
- Knowledge of AWS services and cloud computing concepts, especially the generative AI tech stack (e.g., Bedrock, Trainium, etc.)
- A degree in computer science (or related field) OR significant experience in technical product management and proven ability to quickly learn and explain complex technical systems
- 3-7 years of experience in technical program management or product management
**Stakeholder Management**
- Proven ability to earn trust with diverse stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams
- Experience working successfully with engineering teams
- Track record of building strong cross-functional relationships and driving alignment across teams
**Communication Skills**
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Skill in translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Ability to create clear documentation and communications for a variety of audiences
**Reliability & Execution**
- Demonstrated high reliability in delivering on commitments
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Client’s events (re:Invent, Summit, etc.) or similar large-scale technical conferences
- Familiarity with content management systems and hands-on learning platforms
- Experience with technical workshop delivery and hands-on learning experiences
- AWS certifications, e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner or AI Practitioner Certification
- Familiarity with Airtable or strong skills in other database or spreadsheet application systems, e.g., Excel or MySQL
What Success Looks Like
- Speakers consistently deliver successful hands-on sessions with minimal technical issues
- Strong satisfaction scores from both internal stakeholders and session participants
- Efficient coordination and communication across all teams involved in interactive session delivery
- Proactive identification and resolution of potential issues before they impact events
- Purpose of the Team and key projects: This CW will support the hands-on sessions that utilize Workshop Studio for all first-party flagship events managed by the Event Content team. Key responsibilities include: updating the Workshop Studio intake forms for 9+ events, managing communication with speakers and allocation owners/leads regarding the Workshop Studio process for 1000+ sessions auditing session information to ensure accuracy and completion, and coordinating with the Workshop Studio team and other stakeholders to ensure completion of all key deadlines.
