 Role: Production Supervisor / Engine Assembly Supervisor
Location: Redford Township, MI, 48239
Duration: 12 months assignment (Potential to Conversion)
Shift Schedule: Midnight shift, 11 pm – 7 am Sunday - Friday

 
Job Description:
Summary:
The main function of the Engine Assembly Supervisor Midnight Shift is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
  • Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Skills:
  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in business/engineering or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience required, more is preferred.
  • If candidates don’t have supervisory experience but do have plant engine assembly or production type roles experience, then 5 years of experience or more.
  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
