Job Description:
Project & Program Management
- Lead end-to-end projects focused on improving AML/KYC due diligence operations, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
- Partner with compliance, legal, risk, and operations teams to align deliverables with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Track project milestones, manage risks/issues, and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
AML/KYC Knowledge Repository Development
- Design, build, and maintain a centralized AML/KYC knowledge guidance repository for due diligence analysts.
- Develop clear, structured, and accessible guidance materials covering:
Regulatory expectations and industry best practices. - Risk indicators and red flags
- Jurisdictional considerations
- Case studies and typologies
- Continuously update content to reflect evolving regulations, enforcement trends, and internal policy changes.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Author, standardize, and maintain comprehensive SOPs for due diligence operations, including:
- Standard Due Diligence (SDD)
- Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
- Sanctions Screening
- Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) / Special Interest Persons (SIP) Screening
- Adverse Media Screening
- Ensure SOPs are clear, actionable, and aligned with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
- Implement version control and governance processes for ongoing SOP updates
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and inconsistencies in current due diligence processes and recommend improvements.
- Establish quality standards and review frameworks for analyst outputs.
- Support audit readiness and regulatory examinations by ensuring documentation and processes are robust and defensible.
Stakeholder Engagement & Training
- Collaborate with due diligence analysts, team leads, and compliance stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
- Deliver training sessions and onboarding materials related to AML/KYC processes and SOPs.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for AML/KYC due diligence practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
3-5+ years of experience in AML/KYC, financial crime compliance, or due diligence operations, and project management.
Proficiency in:
- AML regulations (e.g., BSA, FATF guidance, global frameworks)
- KYC/CDD/EDD processes
- Sanctions regimes (OFAC, EU, UN, etc.)
- PEP/SIP screening and adverse media research
- Proven experience writing SOPs, policies, or operational guidance documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
- Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear operational guidance
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
- Effective stakeholder management and communication
Preferred:
- Experience supporting or overseeing Due Diligence, KYC/AML, sanctions screening, fraud risk, or third-party risk management programs.
- Experience with due diligence tools and screening platforms (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones).
- Experience working in a global or highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with Due Diligence, third-party risk, Merchant partner onboarding, or 3PPP programs.
- Demonstrated experience owning or materially contributing to project management programs, particularly within AML, KYC, third-party, partner, or operational risk domains.
- Experience engaging with Internal Audit, Risk Committees, or regulatory stakeholders, including preparation of evidence and governance materials.
